Dacono Council Members
Adam Morehead- Mayor
Adam Morehead was elected to the City Council in 2020 and was serving his first term before being elected Mayor in November 2021.
Danny Long
Danny Long was elected to the City Council in November 2019 and is serving his first term.
Kevin Plain
Kevin Plain was appointed to the City Council in December 2020. His term ends in November 2022.
Jackie Thomas
Jackie Thomas was elected to the City Council in November 2018. She was re-elected to a second term in November 2021.
Jim Turini
Jim Turini was elected to the City Council in November 2021. He has lived in Dacono since 1988, on Glen Dale Street the whole time. Councilmember Turini worked at the Carbon Valley Recreation center mainly at the senior center helping the area senior citizens. He was able to gather a lot of information and contacts to help seniors. He is now working at Bob Burger Recreation Center in Lafayette and enjoys working with the public. Before retirement, Councilmember Turini worked in technical support for GE Analytical Instruments. That position helped him sharpen his problem-solving skills. Councilmember Turini is open to all questions and suggestions.
Kathryn Wittman- Mayor Pro-Tem
Kathryn Wittman was appointed to the City Council in August 2016 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2020. She is married with two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mayor Pro-Tem Wittman is a twenty-two year Dacono resident, lives in the Glens and loves Dacono for its relaxed, friendly atmosphere. She has an Associate's Degree in Marketing and Management from Kishwaukee Junior College, professional experience in U.S. immigration, SEC matters, and estate planning. Prior to serving on the City Council, Mayor Pro-Tem Wittman served on Liquor Authority and Board of Adjustments for nine years. She is proud to work with City Council and City staff to make Dacono shine as bright as possible.
Doris Crespo
Doris Crespo was appointed by the City Council in June 2022 to fill a vacant seat. Her term ends November 2023.
