COVID-19 Vaccine

The COVID-19 Vaccine is Now Available.

COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are now available to eligible individuals who completed an initial series (2 doses) of the Pfizer vaccine at least 6 months ago. Eligible individuals include those:

  • 65 years and older
  • Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
  • Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
  • Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
  • Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings

Booster shots have not yet been recommended for the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. More information on boosters of those vaccines is expected in the coming weeks. For more details, go to the CDC’s Booster Shot webpage.

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment has the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines available Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00-4:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins can be accommodated. To make an appointment to receive the vaccine at the Health Department Clinic, please call (970) 304-6420.

WCDPHE is hosting vaccine clinics at several locations across the county. These clinics are free; no appointments are required; and no ID or insurance is required. If you have questions, call (970) 304-6420.
