Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono

The City of Dacono established the Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono (URAD) in 2015. The purpose of the Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono is to aid in the elimination and prevention of conditions of blight in the City of Dacono. The City of Dacono has adopted two Urban Renewal Plans.  

Urban Renewal Authority Board

The governing body of the Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono comprises the Dacono City Council, one representative from Weld County, one representative from the St. Vrain Valley School District, and one representative from the Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District, a special district in the Plan Area. 

URAD 2023 Meeting Schedule

The Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. All meeting are held in-person at the Dacono City Annex, Building C, located behind City Hall unless otherwise noted on the agenda. 

Notice of Public Hearing- FY 2024 Budget

Notice is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono for the 2024 budget year; a copy of such proposed budget has been filed in the office of the Urban Renewal Authority Executive Director, where the same is open for public inspection. Such proposed budget will be considered on November 1, 2023, 6:00 p.m., at a regular meeting of the Urban Renewal Authority of Dacono to be held at 512 Cherry Avenue Dacono, Colorado, or electronically in accordance with policies adopted by the Bylaws of the Urban Renewal Authority.  

If the hearing will be held as part of an electronic meeting, notice will be posted on the City of Dacono website at least seventy-two (72) hours before the meeting with instructions regarding how interested persons may join and participate in the electronic hearing.

Any interested person may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget.
